Green Peace Music Festival is dedicated to promoting culture music and art in general. The aim is to keep the passion for different music, art and cultures of the world alive in an age where "modern" is becoming the ONLY new world culture.
In Tanzania, East Africa, there are a lot of people/ artists still dedicated to preserving their roots, people who are still convinced that authenticity is the foundation of true power in the human spirit and in the physical world. That is why here, there is a saying that says, "a person who looses their culture (roots) looses their orientation/direction," or another version is, "a person without their culture becomes a slave." These words can only begin to touch on the horrors of a world where people aren't authentic anymore because many people, when ignorant to their culture, copy other people's cultures and loose their own reality.
It is not a good idea to loose the different cultures of the world. It is in our interest and in the interest of the world to keep these sectors alive and relevant in this current atmosphere so that the world remains interesting, diverse, rich and most importantly, real.
Green Peace Music Festival is a time and space where our cultures, music and arts are not forgotten but instead are brought to life for three whole days and nights.
